Farmers want to re-open access negotiation with Brussels

A re-opening of access negotiation with the European Union in the matter of dotations to farmers is required by the Agrarian chamber together with its sisterly chambers in Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. It is said that farmers are not able to compete due to badly negotiated conditions which according to them leads to a decrease of animal states and growing imports of raw materials. Only in the CR imports of eggs increased since January till July as much as tenfold. “However, it is a long-distance race”, admitted a president of the Agrarian chamber CR Jan Veleba after today’s negotiation with a president of the European profession farmer organization COPA Rudolf Schwarzböck.

Respekt: Palas told television about mysterious dates

According to weekly paper a scandal around a sale of Unipetrol was revealed by a former Minister of Agriculture Jaroslav Palas. Just from him the television Nova should have got to know about a background of meetings of Polish lobbyist Jack Spyra with a former consultant of the Prime Minister Doležel. On base of ex-minister’s information Nova filmed a report in which Doležel asked for a bribe at a meeting with Spyra. According to sources from social democracy Palas warn also of an on-coming scandal of the Prime Minister Jiří Paroubek, the weekly writes. The information that Paroubek’s source was evidently Palas, was published also by a magazine Týden on last Monday.

Forests of the Czech Republic have finished second pool of selective proceedings

A general director of the state enterprise Forest of the Czech Republic (LČR) Vladimír Blahuta confirmed results of negotiations of a selective commission for an entering of a Basic contract for supplies of complex forest activities, a Contract for realization of growing activities and a Contract for realization of logging activities in frame of one contractual unit (further only “selective negotiation”) on Monday the 12th September. According to a spokesman LČR he finished the second pool of selective negotiations on the 24th June this year for 37 percents of forests managed by the state enterprise. In total, 158 interested persons presented applications with 1072 offers.

Ministry of Regional development worked out studies for streamlining of EU funds drawing

Studies are focused mainly on a removal of barriers of the CR competitiveness growth, evaluation of EU development programs distribution, and on improvement of EU funds drawing. the Ministry worked out during this and last years expert studies and analysis of a current setting of programs of supports in connection with concrete needs of CR regions and a real functioning of national regional policy. The entire initiative is financed in frame of a technical aid RPS from the European Union.
