Veterinarians warn of risks of frostbitten fodder

Enormous proliferation of microflora in a paunch of ruminants threats in these days according to a spokesman of the State veterinary administration CR (SVS) Josef Duben in case that cattle will graze down frostbitten or later steamy fodder after first fall frosts. It causes an inflation of animals, so called meteorism.

Parliaments is supposed to vote on by Senate voted-down law on agriculture

The Senate voted-down amendment of act on agriculture will be negotiated by the Chamber of Deputies today. The proposal is supposed to adjust providing of agricultural dotations and specify a registration of agricultural land. However, most senators tend to claim that the proposal contains many legislative mistakes and it would make more harm than profit. The second day of negotiation will be started at 009:00.

Experts and non-specialist choose beers of the year 2005

Brewers and other brewing experts from 24 Czech breweries chose the best beers in two-round degustation competition, which took place in April and June this year. An executive director of the Czech Beer and Malt Association (ČSPAS) Jan Veselý informed about it. The Association also enunciated and guaranteed the competition together with the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting, Plc. (VÚPS). 27 marks competed in a category light tap beers and the winner was Ostravar Originál.

KLASA presents itself in Poland

The State Agricultural Intervention Fund (SZFI) will present checked food products which fulfilled demanding criteria of quality from today till the 23rd September in its exposition on the international special fair Polagra-Food in Polish Poznan. Vilém Frček from the press department SZIF informed about it and added that already for several times top-quality Czech products with mark KLASA will introduce themselves abroad this year. According to Frček the international special fair of food industry Polagra-Food belongs to the most prestigious exhibitions in the area of foodstuffs in the Central-Europe region.
