Czech Agrofert buys biggest Slovak processors of poultry

Czech Agrofert Holding buys two the biggest Slovak meat-combines for processing of poultry: Hyza Žilina and THP Topolčany. It results from information which the Slovak antimonopoly office (PMÚ) published on its internet pages. It should judge the transaction till a half of November. Further details are not disposable. Together with meat-combines Agrofert should buy also breeding farm Farma THP and Javor 503, as well as a producer of feeding mixtures Považan. Slovak firms are controlled by a company Fend representative of which announced in the past that they looked for a strategic investor for poultry farms. A chief of Czech holding Andrej Babiš admit the interest, however, reports about a purchase were confirmed by the PMÚ.

Ahold selects million entry fee

The best business of a season will be realized this year by Ahold. Partially its suppliers will contribute to a purchase of stores Julius Meinl. They collect many payments for that they will be able to sell in a network of shop chains; among others also a payment for a newly open shop. “An acquisition of new shops is taken in the Czech Republic as new shops, the same as if we built completely new ones”, says a spokeswoman of Ahold, Kateřina Černá, without close information about payments.

Subsidies from EU funds in Healthy towns work and bring considerable financial means

Healthy towns can gain subsidies for a realization of its project intentions from various external resources. One of possibilities how to gain means to cover costs for development activities are the funds of the European Union. For town, municipalities and regions it is not easy to secure a financial aid from European funds, nevertheless, the expounded effort is worth to it. A base of success in application for financial means from the EU funds is well-worked project intention. And just here a readiness of Healthy towns can manifest itself compared to other appliers for subsidies.

European countries introduce measures due to bird flu

The Czech Premiere Jiří Paroubek and entrusted Minister of Health Zdeněk Škromach discussed the actual situation of bird flu. Germany will strengthen boundary checks for import of animals. Hungary will disinfect trucks on boundaries after transport of poultry through Romania. In Serbia and Montenegro protective masks and reserves of anti-virus medicine Tamiflu were sold out. Also Belgians in chemists run amuck on reserves of the medicine which is consider as an effective means of treatment in case of infection of bird flu.
