Bird flu has already reached Greece

A virus of bird flu has most likely spread for the first time in a member state of the European Union. Greece veterinarians has revealed the diseases in a died turkey near the island Chios in the Aegean sea. “One of nine samples of poultry was tested positively”, the Greece Ministry of Agriculture reported in a declaration yesterday. A result has to be confirmed finally by experts in Athens.

Fair of wood processing Wood-Tec starts today in Brno

The area of Fairs Brno will welcome producers of wood-processing machines at the international fair Wood-Tec today after two years. More than 300 exhibitors from 16 countries will present themselves at a clear exhibition acreage over 12 500 square meters. It is roughly by 700 square meters more than in the last record year. Also this year a meeting of the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (EUMABOIS) will take place in Brno.

Fishery Velké Meziříčí will export third of fish, similar to last year

The fishery Velké Meziříčí in Žďár region will fish out about 250 tons of fish during this fall, similar to last year. According to present presumptions neither import will change markedly. The enterprise plans to export abroad about a third of fish. First of all carps, but also tenches, mascalonges and pikeperches will end mainly at consumers in Germany, said today a director Emanuel Míšek to the ČTK. The fishery started the fall hauls in half of September and they will still continue for about a month.

A proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture for a building of new stores for cereals should have been negotiated at the meeting of government on the 5th October. However, the negotiation was not realized and the material was returned to be finished because it contained many untruthful and biased information inhibiting to an objective evaluation of the submitted proposal.
