Producers: Meanwhile bird flu has no influence on interest in poultry meat

According to producers a threat of bird flu has meanwhile no influence on a domestic demand for poultry meat. The CTK was said it today by a director of the Association of poultry enterprises František Mates. According to him some consumers ask firms about possible risks but the demand does not decrease. Due to the bird flu the domestic sellers tightened up conditions for suppliers of poultry meat. “We did not mark a fall of sales”, said a quality manageress of the firm Agropol Food Lenka Martinková at today´s meeting of the Food Chamber (Federation of Food and Drink Industries) with journalists.

French Lactalis will not take over the dairy works Promil in Nový Bydžov

The French milk giant Lactalis will not take over the dairy works of holding Promil in Nový Bydžov in the region Hradec Králové, which is since the end of September without milk due to debts. However, the French further consider obtaining mainly cheese enterprises of the holding in Jičín, Dřevěnice, Kruh u Jilemnice and Nymburk. The CTK was said it today by a director of Lactalis for the CR, Slovakia and Hungary Jaroslav Musil.

Trade chains started to punish suppliers due to SZPI controls

Due to controls of the State Agricultural and Food Inspection (SZPI) the trade chains started to punish food suppliers where inspectors found various faults. For example Delvita stopped to take poultry meat from the company Xaverov after the SZPI controls. The inspectors found spoiled poultry meat in one from Delvita shops, for which, according to a Delvita lead, a supply of low quality from the firm Xaverov is blamed.

Lawmakers released small vine growers from evidence of consumption tax

Small growers of vine do not any more have to be afraid of introducing their products at exhibitions and competitions. Vine growers with a production of wine up to 2000 litres per year are free of a duty to register themselves as payers of a consumption tax. In past they were afraid of participation at exhibitions, because they were frightened that they draw attention of control authorities to themselves. The Parliament approved the relevant change in October in frame of adjustment of the law on consumption taxes, said a representative Zdeněk Koudelka (ČSSD) to the CTK.
