Buy-out prices of electricity from biomass will grow next year
The Czech Republic will evidently wait to see a development of electricity and heat production with use of biomass next years. Authorities suppose that up to four years the production should grow four fold. A condition of development of enterprise is also determination of minimal buy-out prices of electricity from biomass and prices of so called green bonuses which were today announced for the year 2006 by the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO). According to Rostislav Krejcar from the Office, prices of bonuses will increase annually roughly by 10 – 30 percents.
Germans announce concurrence of bird flu
Bird flu advanced towards Czech borders. Neighbouring Germany announced yesterday that preliminary health tests confirmed a presence of bird flu in a dead goose. Meanwhile, however, it was not proved that the gooses, which were found out near the town Neuwied in a lake where they stop birds of passage, were infected with the dangerous virus of type H5N1. That has already killed over 60 people in Asia. What type of virus it was going on further tests will prove.
Director of PGRLF will be Petr Buchal
A new director of the Subsidiary and Guarantee Rural and Forestry Fund (PGRLF) according to information of EURO OnLine will be Petr Buchal on the 1st November, a former director of the agency SAPARD. He will change the present chief Lubomír Netolický who, however, will stay a chairman of the fund directorate. According to information from well informed sources Netolický is, however, to stay in the directorate for only transient tome and then he will be changed also in this function by Buchal.
European Commission supported new agricultural offer for WTO
The European Commission supports dead certainly its commissioners of trade and agriculture in their work for a new offer in agriculture. The commissioners are going to propose it on behalf of the European Union to the World Trade Organization to unblock suspended negotiations. A success of the entire so called Qatar round of world negotiations and thereby also a fate of tens of million poor people of the whole world depend on whether the EU will offer a sufficient opening of its market of agricultural products.
