Rural areas as engine for Lisbon strategy

This year the European Commission introduced the initiative “i2010: European Information Society 2010” to encourage growth and jobs in the information society and media industries.
In order to support this iniciative and the New Rural Development plan together with following the conference conclusions from Valencia, @rural Brussels and EFITA 2005, there is going to be another conference held in Brussels on 29th November 2006, organised byThe European Federation for Agriculture, Food and Environment (EFITA), the European Regional Information Society Association (ERISA), rural@work community, Czech Society for Information Technology in Agriculture (CSITA) and the Czech Centre for Science and Society (CCSS).
