Mládek: I will investigate speculations with lots
The new Minister of Agriculture describes in an interview how he will set right the affair in which the state passed 2 milliards to speculators. In the government function on Wednesday Jan Mládek replaced Petr Zgarba who leaves Jirí Paroubek´s cabinet just after the scandal with giving lucrative plots to speculators. The new Minister of Agriculture claims: „I want to find out myself what role was pla yed by particular people from the Land Fund. I can not only wait for results of police investigation.“
SZPI will help to chains in starting new control systems in sale
Representatives of fifteen trade chains and the State Agricultural and Food Inspection (SZPI) agreed that the Inspection will help to particular firm in starting new control systems. A mutual cooperation arose after controls of inspectors who found out faults in eighteen supermarkets.
Tatra Mountains disaster gave commissions for hundreds of millions to foresters from the CR
The calamity which last November affected the Slovak Tatra Mountains meant commissions for Czech forest firms for hundreds of millions crown in estimation. The ČTK was told it by an executive director of the Czech Association of Entrepreneurs in Forestry Jiří Kořínek. According to him about 20 to 30 Czech firms could participate in processing of calamity wood, of both large companies and particular small traders.
Bird flu killed other four people in Asia
Other four people have died of the dangerous virus of bird flu H5N1 in Asia. The virus killed two women in Indonesia and other two in China. According to Indonesian Ministry of Health already seven people have died of the bird flu virus.Source: Agris, 18.11.2005
