Five countries of the Union will grow more than the Czech Republic
A standard of living will grow in all developed countries from the European Union to Japan. However, not all of them are able to use the same chance which is given to them by the world revival. “Only a country, which passed reforms and activity of people and firms is not uselessly tied there, will use its possibilities fully”, Thomas Laursen says, a main economist of the World Bank for Central and East Europe. The Czech Republic still postpones the main reforms – from health care to pensions and taxes, nevertheless, it will belong to the fastest growing economics this year. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development expects that economics will grow by 4,5 percents. The country will face a little faster rice in price than now; prices will grow approximately by three percents.
Beer festival in Tábor will be record-breaking this year
At the turn of January and February Tábor will become again the capital of Czech brewing. 60 breweries will meet on the 31st January at the sixteenth year of four-day beer festival in a hotel Amber Palcát and Southern-Bohemia University to fight for titles Czech beer seal. “This year’s participation of breweries will be record-breaking. Also beer producers from Slovakia will come and people will be able to taste beer from Australia and Great Britain, Denmark, and also the strongest beer of the world from Belgium”, said Lenka Horejsková, a manager of the department of culture and tourism in the town hall in Tábor which co-organizes the festival.
There were the most cases of BSE in the CR last year
In 2005 eight cases of BSE were diagnosed in cattle from 170 857 animals examined in that year in total. It was stated today by a spokes man of the State Veterinary Administration CR Josef Duben. He added that from the beginning of the year 2001 871 767 cows were examined in total in the CR and from it 23 were cases of BSE. “If we see the last years, the year 2005 was “the richest” with 8 cases BSE in total. In 2001 there were two cases of the disease, in 2002 again two cases, in 2003 four cases in total and in 2004 seven cases.
Beef meat cheapened, pork roast raised in price
In the first week of this year beef meat cheapened in comparison with the previous week at average by almost two crown per 161,86 CZK per kilogram. However, pork roast raised in price by 0,59 CZK to 107,04 CZK per kilogram. Paprika raised in price by almost five crowns to 58,89 CZK and prices of tomatoes increased by 2,48 CZK to 37,73 CZK Bananas cheapened by a crown, a kilogram cost 34,11 CZK. It results from data of the Czech Statistic Office. Fresh butter raised in price significantly by 3,35 crowns to 108,63 CZK per kilogram. On the contrary, vegetable fat Rama nosedived; its price decreased by 17,57 crowns to 72,42 kilograms.
