Intervention purchase of dried skimmed milk

SZIF started an intervention purchase of dried skimmed milk obtained from an approved producer for an intervention price. The purchase takes place from the 1st March to the 31st.August 2006. Agra Presse prepared in Brussels a large discussion at a round table which was accompanied by a certain harmony of opinions of haw agriculture will look like in next years. According to disputants agriculture will be still more and more divided in two types. One, the bigger part, will be devoted to production of raw materials, the second, more oriented to use of opportunity which are appearing on the market, will focus more to cooperation with other sectors.

Bird flu has not appeared yet in CR; 600 fledglings examined

The number of bird flu cases in Europe increases, however, the infection has not appeared inland yet. The Czech Republic has examined since the beginning of this year 485 died bird and 107 pieces of died poultry and all results were negative. Josef Duben, the spokesman of the State Veterinary Administration reported it. However, experts judge that regarding the occurrence in surrounding countries the disease will appear in the Czech Republic in time. “Of course, we can not exclude this possibility in the future that's why we have to be very cautious, especially considering random died water birds”, said Duben.

There is interest in agriculture machinery

Similarly as in 2004-2005 producers and sellers with agricultural machinery estimate about by 15 percent higher sales than last year, said Dušan Benža, a secretary of the of Agricultural and Forestry Machinery Association. He gives reasons for it by a flow of higher agricultural subsidies,mainly from the EU, whose drawing started in 2005. This fact also secured enlargement of the showplace for this year's Fair of agricultural machinery Techagro which will take place in Brno since the 2nd to the 6th April.
