PGRLF increases insurance subsidies
Subsidies of agricultural insurance which is provided by the Subsidiary Guarantee Rural and Forestry Fund (PGRLF) are increased for this year. According to Dana Malíková, a head of section for PGRLF supports, breeders can count on a subsidy of farm animals insurance for case of infection and other mass damages in height of 22 % from evidenced covered costs. Till this time it has been 15 percents.
Cukrovary TTD starting building-up of distillery for bio-spirit in Dobrovice
The biggest sugar producer, the company Cukrovary TTD, started building-up of distillery for production of bio-spirit from sugar beet in Dobrovice in Mladá Boleslav region.
Ministry of Agriculture: Fine to two CZK per kilogram falls on milk producers
According to an estimation of the Ministry of Agriculture a sanction up to two crowns per kilogram for exceeding of quotas falls on inland milk producers. The Minister of Agriculture, Jan Mládek, said it at the meeting of Agrarian Chamber CR (AK) in Velká Bystřice in Olomouc region. The former estimations spoke as many as about four crowns. Mládek counts further that the state will not share in financial rescuing of fines, as was originally required by the Agrarian Chamber. The quotas regulate the milk production in the EU. Members of AK abandoned the requirement of covering of sanction after increase of direct payments.
EU increased volume of Czech wheat for export to 400 000 tons
Formulation of the State Agricultural Intervention Fund was completed in the 2nd paragraph. The European Commission increased the volume of Czech wheat, which can be offered in tenders for export from intervention reserves, by 120 000 to 395 911 tons. According to the age ncy Reuters, the changes is in force immediately, the official bulletin of the EU reported it today. According to a spokeswoman Jitka Sluková the State Agricultural Intervention Fund, which secures the purchase in the CR, accepts with pleasure the increase of tender for wheat sale. After the record harvest in 2004 the fund bought out about 900 000 tons of cereals from which still about 57 000 tons stay in reserves in the CR and about 134 000 tons in stores in Belgium. Cereals had to be re-stored there due to a lack of storage capacities in the CR.
