Long winter will decrease yields of cereals

Owing to this year’s long winter an average yield of cereals will apparently decrease in comparison with two previous years. Winter will delay spring works as much as by a month which will manifest itself in a shortening of vegetation period of spring cereals. Perennial crops damages have already showed in some regions.

Number of GMO growers grows in CR

Last year it has been 10 years since crops with genetically modified information have been planted and seeded in fields for the first time. These so called GMO plants invoke public concerns up to the present days and the topic uses to be an issue of political arguments.

Prices of bakery products will apparently rise in price in May

Apparently in May the most important bakery firms will start negotiating with tradesmen on prices adjustments of bakery goods. Due to the growth of prices for gas and electric energy prices of bread, pastries and other bakery products could increase roughly by a quarter at the beginning of May, the chairman of Entrepreneurial Association of bakers and pastry-cooks Stanislav Musil.

Higher sale of sparkling wines secured rise in takings by 15 percent in Bohemia Sekt

Especially 15 percent growth of sale of sparkling wines was secured in Bohemia Sekt by the annual accrual of takings to more than 1,4 milliard crowns which is almost by 15 percent more than in comparison with 2004.
