Virus in the dead swan is likely to be highly pathogenic

A swan which was found near Hluboká nad Vltavou had likely died due to the highly pathogenic virus H5N1. Journalists were said it after meeting of the safety state council by the Minister of Agriculture Jan Mládek. However, the final conclusion will be set by experts in British laboratory in Weybridge; they can send the results as far as in 14 days. The State Veterinary Administration will have its results on Wednesday. “Because we assumed that our suspicion will be confirmed we had done the measures without waiting for a result”, said Mládek

Food Inspection will impose considerable fines for water in last year’s stum

Time of stum sale lasts only to the 1st August, however, the Food Inspection will not pardon fines for its disallowed “baptizing” with water. In the period of stum season the Inspection took samples of this partially fermented grape must for a check whether it had not been mixed with so called exogenous water. In wine as well as in stum it is not possible to add water because so called “multiplying” of wine or stum is forbidden by legal regulations.

The Tatra Mountains will change also for money from the Czech Republic

Forester will start plant the first new trees this year in by windstorm damaged areas of High Tatra. However, the forest will be different to before the windstorm. Already this year from money which came to the Tatras also from the Czech donators, forester will plant a half million of tree seedling to almost 900 hectares from the total nine thousand hectares of damaged area; so to about one tenth of the afflicted territory which is managed by the State Forests of Tatras National Park. The area damaged in November 2004 by a disaster will have been forested for fifteen years and Tatras forest will look different than till this time. Though still over fifty percents of all Tatras forest will consist of spruce again, also other trees will be planted.

Setuza is threatened with execution

A definitive verdict on the company’s fate, literally on an execution of the food company’s property, will be passed by the government. The firm owes to state over four milliard crowns in a nominal value. Originally the state considered that it would capitalize the debt, nevertheless, finally it abandoned this step definitely. “A capitalization of a debt shows to be as very risky step as it is beyond the state’s power to state a real economic situation of Setuza. At this moment the imaginary scale really starts to lean towards the execution. It would be a clean solution”, said a close workmate of the Minister of Agriculture.
