Drawing money from EU is insufficient, however, reputedly is improving

Drawing money from structural funds of the European Union is according to the Ministry for Local Development (MMR) and analytics insufficient. Till the end of February applicants obtained about two milliard from 50,5 milliard crowns allotted to the CR for the period 2004-2006, so only 4,1 percent. However, the MMR and the analytics report that the drawing is gradually accelerated. However, obviously it will not be successful in spending the whole part and the republic will loss the non-spent money.

In hop-gardens near Rakovník they started to prune hops and to hang up wires

More than thirty brigade-workers from Slovakia started with spring works on roughly 150 hectares of hop-gardens belonging to the coop Rakochmel in Kolešovice in Rakovník region. According to the representative of company Rakochmel, Petr Novotný, a pruning of hop has now been finished on about a half and wires hanged on 60 hectares of hop-garden acreage.

Czech representative in management of European brewers

The executive director of the Czech Beer and Malt Association (ČSPAS) Jan Veselý became a member of twelve-member executive committee Brewers of Europe. This organ manages on the instalt the activity of this important lobbyist organization of European brewers which represents 22 member states at present.

Tractor Zetor celebrates sixty years

The first tractor with the letter “Z” afore has gone down from a production belt of a factory in Brno sixty years ago, in the spring 1946. During several postwar years a legend was born with name Zetor, and red tractors from the factory in Brno quarter Líšeň cultivate fields all over the world. Hereat, the factory was just before a bankruptcy at the end of 90’s. In 1999 it had to even break off its production for a year.
