Capitalistic beetle prepares new attack
As much as one hundred percent of corn growths can be destroyed by a pest Western Corn ( Diabrotica virgifera virgifera Le Conte) which is relative to famous Colorado potato beetle. In the second half of last century it became a tool of communistic ideology accusing “bad American capitalists” of targeted damaging of socialistic agriculture. Bio-oil is in upswing – when prices of oil rape will follow it?
Also farmers should profit from a boom of renewable kinds of raw materials because finally a raw material for a new energy grows on their fields. It is true especially since price-favourable supply of fossil fuels, as oil and natural gas, are not matter-of-course neither in the Czech Republic. However, just in case of the most important renewable raw-material, oil rape, rather an opposite happens. While rape oil and rape methyl ester (RME) reach record prices and producers earn fat profits, in case of rape one can not speak about “a gold intoxication” till now. Instead of it a price scissors between the raw material “rape” and the final product “bio-oil” gape still more and more.
