Law regulations from area of animal production commodities

Čepro started mixing bio-fuels

The joint stock company Čepro is the first Czech firm which started industrial mixing bio-fuels in fuels. Already this year the firm will invest about 300 million crowns in the project and will provide most of its release stores with necessary technical equipment. The first of them is Včelná near České Budějovice where the firm opened a pilot works yesterday. The first place where petrol with 5- percent admixture of biological substances will be for sale will be firm petrol pumps Euro oil. “From investment point of view it is so demanding that only refineries will follow us”, the Čepro chief, Pavel Švarc, thinks. He assumes that if the government agree a support for bio-fuels producers next week, the price of fuels “with admixture” would be the same as in case of only oil products. Neither a variant with premium of consumption tax is completely excluded for final sellers, nor a possibility that the state would not subsidize the whole system at all.

Tropics are enlarging and steer for Europe

The area of tropic enlarges in the Earth year after year. With the current trend it will come to Europe in short time. According to historic data which in last two years were collected by a team of American scientists the tropic has enlarged in last forty years minimally by 130 kilometers. This news is alarming especially for residents of subtropical zone. The area at one time favourable for agriculture is rapidly changing and drought complicates a situation in many industries. “If the news is proved and the area of tropic climate continue to enlarge, it will mean a progression of deserts from subtropical areas to areas with higher density of inhabitation”, Thomas Reichler reported, a meteorologist from the university in Utah and one of co-authors of the study.

Funds and programs usable for environment protection

A main program document for use of ERDF resources for the environmental area is the Operation program Infrastructure (OP Infrastructure) which arose by consolidation of originally individual OP Environment and OP Transport. The program has four priorities. The first one focuses on modernization and development of transport infrastructure of the nation-wide significance, the second on decrease of negative consequences of transport on environment, the third priority on building of environmental infrastructure; the last one on technical assistance. The first two are sponsored by the Ministry of Transport, the third by the Ministry of Environment which is at the same time the managing organ for the entire OP Infrastructure. The last priority is common.
