Farmers will get other half-milliard for evening-up of direct payments
With big differences in paying out of direct supports between old and new EU members states Czech agriculture can not be competitive. The government Cabinet agreed that Czech farmers will get other half-milliard crowns to even up direct payments to 65 percents of the level in old EU member states, which is a permitted maximum. A caretaker of this money, the State Intervention Fund, will get means free of interest from the Subsidiary and Guarantee Rural and Forestry Fund. An exact height of the loan will be able to be determined after the 1st October when a rate of exchange of crown for direct payments is announced and a final sum is determined, which the CR will get from the EU for these subventions.
Czech people buy more bio-foods but lag behind Union
Products of health food are more and more popular among Czech people, nevertheless, the Czech Republic lags significantly behind the consumption of West-European countries. Sale of bio-foods increases in last years. From data of the agency Green marketing it results that the sale grew by about a third last year in comparison with 2004. Despite that bio-products still share in the total food consumption with only one tenth percent. It means that every inhabitant of the Czech Republic spends for bio-foods about 35 crowns yearly which is three percents of consumption of an average West-European.
Bio-gas directly in grid of natural gas – what profit will have German farmers on it?
A town enterprise Aachen will bring bio-gas directly in a gas grid. Because of that a grower of silage corn is wanted. While traditional biogas stations win recognition on market with less or more success already several years, new types of bio-gas stations on base of renewable kinds of raw materials are still relatively green. They require more research and consultancy. Especially an agricultural enterprise with clearly plant production enters into completely unknown area.
Drainage area of Elbe needs 12 milliard crowns for protection of all seats
Less than four months after a system of dikes was finished at junction of the rivers Chrudimka and Novohradka for 22,7 million crown in total at the end of last year by the state enterprise Povodí Labe, surrounding municipalities have an opportunity within this year’s spring floods to prove its serviceability. A matter of interest of these dikes is that they lead along municipalities Mnětice, Žižín, Ühřetická Lhota, Ühřetice, Vejvanovice and Dvakačovice and not along the watersheds. They secure a level of municipalities protection as much as against fifty-year water. As ing.Václav Jirásek, the organization director and press spokesman of Povodí Labe, s.p., reported, an advantage of this flood-protection building is that dikes are low and the wold is let for free spread of floods.
