ODS, KDU-ČSL and Green passed coalition agreement
Coalition agreement among ODS, KDU-ČSL and the Green party was passed on Sunday by panels of all three parties which at the same time agreed nomination of their candidates to allocation of particular ministerial chairs. Chairmen of parties got full powers to sign the coalition agreement on Monday. The first one who announced agreement on the coalition agreement were Greens who at the same time reported that they will try to negotiate a support of three-coalition with ČSSD. ODS shortly after 5 p.m. added to their consensus with the agreement also a call to the Premiere Paroubek to resign. KDU-ČSL came with a report on passing of coalition agreement as the last.
EU does not succeed in reducing pollution according to plan
The European Union does not succeed in fulfillment of plant of reduction of pollution of greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide, to manage to fulfill its aim according to Kjótó protocol. In 2004 pollution in 25 member states grew by 0,4 percent in comparison with 2003, the European environment agency with a seat in Copenhagen announced today. “Although a growth by 0,4 percent seems to be small, in fact it is a significant indicator. It is as if three million people drove round in cars the whole Earth. In 2004 eleven tons of pollutions were emitted per each EU inhabitant in air, the head of Agency, Jacqueline McGladeová reported.
Attempts to renew mining in Tlustec has been stopped for now
Attempt to renew mining of basalt in the hill Tlustec near Jablonné v Podještědí in Česká Lípa region have been stopped for now. The Ministry of Environment (MŽP) requires elaboration of a new judgement of mining impacts on the environment (EIA). At least two years mining should be interrupted in Tlustec, a today’s daily from Česká Lípa reports. The reason for the Ministry requires the new judgement is mainly a change of technology of ground blasting. The first judgement was worked out already in 1997 and according to Jaroslava Honová from MŽP it is possible to estimate that natural conditions have changes since that time in the locality. “It is essential to screen again biologically and zoologically the area”, Honová said.
Report of Ministry for meat markets
American Ministry of Agriculture published its regular statistics on food reserves yesterday, so called “cold storage report”. This report is monitored above all by tradesmen with meat. Except other it brings data which influence development of futures contracts with meat in stock exchange in Chicago. Amount of frozen beef meat in storage reached at the end of May annually higher level, i.e. by nine percents. On the other hand, in comparison with the last month beef meat reserves decreased by four percents. Pig meat reserves decreased from both points of view monthly and annually by nine percents, resp. eight percents. Reserves of frozen pig sides decreased at the end of May by seven percents and in comparison with the last year by significant 21 percents.
