Domestic production of sugar in 2006/07 will decrease by quarter according to estimations

According to estimations domestic sugar production will decrease roughly by a quarter in the year 2006/07 dating from the 1st July. A reform of sugar order will come in force in the European Union which will bring a gradual decrease of prices of sugar and sugar beet, reduction of export and in the first year also shortened of production quotas. Growers are waiting now how big compensation regarding the lower buy-out prices the state will award them. According to producers a more significant decrease of sugar prices can not be assumed in coming season.

Famous marks in Setuza will end

Margarine Alfa, oil Vegetol, Lukana and Ceresol, water after shaving Pitralon, soap “with deer” and washing powder Merkur. All this is produced by more than thousand people in north Bohemian firm Setuza. Meanwhile. Famous marks will either end or they can get in other hands. “I think that production of oils, margarines, soaps and washing powder will have ended in three years. It has no perspective. We will follow only the line of biofuels”, a director of Setuza, František Janů, reported in an interview with MF DNES. According to him employees don’t have to worries about their work; on the contrary the firm plans to sign up new people with new investment.

Right sausages “špekáček” only under mark Klasa

It is a result of prepared softening of “meat regulation” which was already three years ago brought in life with a glory by butchers together with the Ministry of Agriculture. However, it is now preparing to change its basic aim: that you can really find meat in knockwursts and other soft sausages, exactly named. For a customer it can be guaranteed that way that the name “špekáček” or “Gothajský salám” is more quality goods than for example “buřt” which can be from soya.

Constitutional court relieved to farmers, it cancelled Palas’s novel

The Constitutional court satisfied a complaint by representatives and senators and cancelled parts of agricultural law which obliged to farmers integrity and specialized skills. “A proposer summarized substance of objections so that attacked provisions contravene the principle of equity and fre edom of business and that the requirement of integrity and specialized skill does not have a foundation”, said the judge-reporter, Eliška Wagnerová.
