EP passed rules of drawing money from European funds

Voting opens a way to draw money from Euro-funds in height of almost 308 milliard Euro for years 2007 – 2013 which behind agriculture represents the biggest part of Union’s budget, almost 36 percent. European Parliament passed rules which will manage drawing money from structural funds and the Cohesion Fund in next seven years. These funds are determined for poorer countries and regions including the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In comparison with present the means should triple.

Present situation in vine growing

According to the final state of vineyards registration in ÚKZÚZ OTK Znojmo on the 31st December 2005 now there is 18 554 ha vineyards owned by 20 394 growers in the Czech Republic. Further 553 ha of dug out vineyards is registered and 154 ha rights for re-outplanting. Together with area of 385 ha (2%) according to admission agreement of the CR in the EU it represents total area – the CR production potential – in height of 19 647 ha. This area is sufficient for the CR and exceeds area of vineyards in 1989 which was 18 700 ha.

When one says a renewable resource of energy most people will imagine wind power stations or works using sun energy or wood mass. Nevertheless, a substantial resource of renewable energy is also biologically-decomposable wastes selected from communal wastes processed in a bio-gas station. Just these technologies enable to produce energy highly efficiently and steady. Municipalities and towns in the Czech Republic as generators of communal waste have to secure reduction of amount of biological wastes loaded in a dump and at the same time significantly to increase material use of communal wastes.

DB: Case of illegal cigarettes manufactory in Louny will be solved by court

High prosecution accused 18 people of illegal production of cigarettes. According to arraignment the group in criminal conspiracy relieved the state of more than 51 million crowns in taxes for which some of accused are in threat of as many as 12-year punishment. The illegal activity was reveled by custom officers last year in May when, among others, they forfeited a cigarette production line in Louny as well as tobacco and completed cigarettes on various places in the Czech Republic. It is written in today’s North-Bohemian edition of Deníky Bohemia (DB). Only in Louny region custom officers succeeded to reveal technological equipment for production and packaging of cigarettes in three stores; in Vsetín region they kept almost 1,5 million illegally produced cigarettes; in Slivenec almost eight million cigarettes.
