18 new localities have been registered in list of world inheritance UNESCO

The United Nation Organization for education, science and culture (UNESCO) ranged other 18 significant places in the list of world cultural and natural inheritance. The AP agency informed about it. The UNESCO list in which also the Czech Republic has in total twelve monuments has now 830 localities.

Nova: Food producers don’t like proposed list of food with lower VAT

Food Chamber does not like a part of coalition agreement among ODS, KLU-ČSL and Green party. Above all the list of basic food, which should have an exception in value added tax and underlie lower rate, minds it. The TV Nova reported yesterday that in the same kind of product only one producer would be in advantage against a second one which, according to the Chamber, would lead to establishment of unequal conditions on market. The coalition agreement promises e.g. an exception in VAT for wheat flour; in all other flours the tax should be paid in full height. “It is really nonsense, it was made by someone who has no idea of food”, said a chairman of Food Chamber, Jaroslav Camplík, to Nova.

The Czech Republic will not fulfill limit of eight percent of energy from renewable resources (Biom.cz)

The Czech Republic will not fulfill its aim to produce in 2010 eight percent of energy from renewable resources. The country bound itself to it within accession negotiations before the admission in the EU. With use of real possibilities of all renewable resources the country can get in four years at about six percents, said a director of department of ecological energetics of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ladislav Pazdera. However, the Czech Republic is not in a threat of any sanction for non-fulfillment of criteria from the EU side.

International certificate IFS for Mlékárna Kunín

The company Mlékárna Kunín, as the first food producer in the CR at all , has obtained the international certificate International Food Standard (IFS). The certificate IFS serves as a special confirmation, recognized above all in France, Italy and Germany, which completes common norms and legislative of the European Union. For the dairy work Kunín the certificate could mean first of all higher export. Moreover, a holder of certificate becomes more worthy supplier of European food chains. Enterprises certified according to IFS become in monitoring of production processes, production quality and registration of every particular product, raw material and prescriptions at a level similar to pharmaceutical industry.
