European Commission adopted two regulations for check of salmonellas
Their aim is to prevent spreading of salmonellas and monitoring of poultry and eggs in the EU. The first regulations, No. 1168/2006 concerns suppression of salmonellas in laying hen breeding. Its aim is decrease of occurrence of these bacteria in eggs. Member states have to decrease a ratio of infected laying hens each year to a determined minimum. There will be national programs for suppressing of salmonellas in laying hens starting from next year in member states. The second regulation, No. 1177/2006, sets rules for methodology of salmonellas checking in poultry, including obligatory vaccination in states with high occurrence of salmonellas. Both two regulations are in force from the beginning of August and checking organs of member states will have introduced national checking programs for approval till half a year .
Development in WTO gives time for system changes
The fact, that last negotiation on general liberalization of world trade in Geneva will not shift far the process of liberalization, could be expected. Too many factors work against themselves in frame of WTO (the World Trade Organization) and there is too much money of rich multinational concerns on side at the expense of a system help to poorer world regions. In commenting the liberalization process it is a worn-out song that a basic reason of liberalization blockage is the area of agriculture. However, it is rather incorrect. Just agrarian trade pass through so called Uruguay round of liberalization which forewent the present Qatar round, the most fundamental reform of trade conditions considering decrease of custom tariffs.
ČSÚ: This year’s harvest of cereal will be probably lower by 9,6 percent
This year’s harvest of basic cereals will reach 6 274 million tons which would mean a decrease by 9,6 percent in comparison with the last year. It results from a second this year’s estimation of the Czech Statistic Office elaborated on a half of July. Harvest of rape should be, according an estimation, 825 000 tons which would be, compared to the last year, by 7,2 percent more. The fall of total harvest of basic cereals the CSO reasons with limitation of acreage and decrease of hectare yield which was influenced by July long-lasting heat and drought. The estimation of harvest of basic cereals decreased, in comparison with June, by a half of percent; the estimation of rape harvest by 3,4 percent.
ČEZ customers will take eight times more ecological energy this year
Green energy grows fast. Customers of the energetic group ČEZ will take about 40 gigawatt hours of this energy this year. It is eight times more then it was last year. A spokeswoman of ČEZ, Ivana Vejvodová, said it to ČTK (Czech Press Office). In frame of this project a customer pays for energy from renewable resources an extra pay ten hallers for kilowatt hour. “In this way collected means serve for financing of non-profit and generally useful projects in area of research, education and use of energy from renewable resources”, Vejvodová informed. In households with average consumption it means to pay yearly by 200 – 300 crowns more. One of the biggest consumers is still West-Bohemia region.
