Agrarian Chamber ask government for help due to by weather devalued crops

Forceful swings of this year’s weather when fruitful rains changed tropical temperatures devaluated, according to growers, a large part of cereal crop. Therefore the Agrarian Chamber wants to ask the government for help. The president of chamber, Jan Veleba, will meet in this matter the Minister of Agriculture, Jan Mládek. Agroweb was informed about it by a press spokeswoman of the Chamber, Eugenie Línková. She told that due to extreme changes of weather grain in cereal spikes started to germinate. According to Línková, such cereal is not able to be harvested by a harvester, so a part of cereals will not be possible to be beaten out. “This process happens each year in a fragment of acreages, however, a loss is minimal. This year it is almost on 70 percent of acreages, all the more it is horrible”, she specified.

With a share in daily feeding ration of fattening pigs of height 3 liters per one animal it was possible to feed with food rests yearly about 6 million pigs. The mentioned amount of food rests can replace thanks to its feeding value about 400 000 tons of wheat or barley and 100 000 tons of soya oil meat. Other priority of feeding of this rests is the fact that a closed nutrient cycling, which does not represent a burden for environment, happens.
