Želetava cheese Apetitto will disappear from market
Several year long-drawn-out feud about Apetitto obviously ends. The company Bel Sýry Česko announced that it withdraws the mark Apetitto from market. Whether its decision is connected with dairy works in Hodonín which uses name Apetito with one „t“ for its cheese the firm did not published. The dairy works has not specified yet either it counts only on a change of mark or on withdrawal of the cheese as such. It wants to give more details at Tuesday press conference.
Speculators will capitalize milliards on drought
Experts advice: invest in purchase of wheat, corn, cotton and other agricultural commodities. Their prices will grow fast in following years, it is possible to capitalize on them as much as tens percent yearly. According to German gazette Handelsblatt, this year´s drought is profitable for speculators in Europe, America and Austria. Moreover, not only food firms but still more and more also bio-fuels producers are interested in harvest on fields. „I believe that agricultural crops will bring very good profit in next ten years“, the German gazette Handelsblatt cites a well-known controller of funds from the USA Jim Rogers.
Month of biofoods again under the auspices of Ministry of Environment
The Minister of Environment Libor Ambrozek also this year confered auspices to the resort of environment for whole-republic campaign „September – Month of bio-foods and ecological agriculture 2006“. Its aim is to draw attention to ecological agriculture and its products – biofoods. „Ecological farmers are great practical conservationist. They connect management in landscape with the care of it and with protection of natural diversity. It deserve support undoubtedly, the same as interest of public and consumers“, Libor Ambrozek says.
New „tamiflu“ is arising in the Czech Republic
Czech scientists are well on the way to develop an effective remedy against bird flu. This revolutionary information arrived in Prague round from the USA. Czech Institute of organic chemistry and biochemistry send samples of its new chemicals for testing in American pharmaceutical firm Gilead Sciences. These samples caused literally turmoil in Gilead Science laboratories. American scientists founded out „a new and more effective tamiflu in one of them“. The director of Czech Institute Zdeněk Havlas says to it: „I has spoken already to the vice-president of Gilead Sciences, John Milligen, according to him one of our substances is very active against bird flu. Also all others analyses confirm meantime that it is promising“.
