Arnika in Ústí warns by photographs against chemical breakdowns

Exhibition Chemical breakdowns draws attention to risk connected with chemical production. Disasters which the industry does not talk about . A collection of pictures prepared by the ecological association Arnika interested people can take a view of in a house of culture in Ústí since today to the 6th October. Journalists were informed by the representatives of Arnika today. The exhibition offers a cross-section of the most widely known breakdowns of industrial plants which have happened in the world and in the Czech Republic in last 30 years. Also it shows photographs from Spolchemie in Ústí after the fire in 2002 when roughly 100 tons of artificial resins burned away; as well as pictures taken in September 2004 during outflow of 60 kilograms of sulfur trioxide.

Höck has been called out from position of director of intervention fund

The government called out from the function of director of State Agricultural Intervention Fund (SZIF) Jan Höck on Wednesday. The proposal for his callback was put forward by the Ministress of Agriculture Milena Vicenová who has not published reasons for personal change at the head of the fund yet.

Prolonging of fruit and vegetable life expectancy

New jobs

The cooperative DDL Lukavec in Pelhřimov region and its daughter company DH Dekor in Humpolec employ almost nine hundred people at present. Current 610 employees in Lukavec and 285 in Humpolec would not have to be the final number. Both firms have recently increased further production volume of furniture devices on which they are focused. It shows itself above all in one hundred and fifty million investment in Humpolec. The timber-processing cooperative supplies more than half production in two tens of states in Euro pe. New production programs helped in both operations, so in Lukavec and in Humpolec, to create almost two hundred of new jobs in last five years.
