MZe prepared enlightenment page on beef meat

For better awareness of consumers of the origin, the age and also the quality of beef meat the Ministry of Agriculture CR (MZe) in cooperation with the Czech-Moravian association of breeders have prepared internet pages on which they can very quickly verify the origin of bought beef meat. Táňa Králová, the spokeswoman of the Ministry informed on it today. According to her data on the internet address consumers will get to know also practical advices concerning purchase of beef meat, its ripening or dividing, all accompanied with coloured photographs.

There is higher consumption of milk, however, farmers produce less

Farmers claims their money through negotiation

Last weekend representatives of AK CR lead by its president Jan Veleba met with ČSSD representatives (on Friday) and with the Premier Mirek Topolánek, the chairman of ODS (on Sunday). Milena Vicenová, the Ministress of Agriculture participated in the Sunday negotiation. “Mirek Toplánek’s (ODS) government intends by means of amendments to the budget for 2007 to secure evening up of direct payments for farmers at 70 percent of the level of old EU member states as the CR ahs negotiated”, said Jan Veleba, the president of Agrarian Chamber CR (AK CR) after the negotiation with the Premier Mirek Topolánek and the Ministress of Agriculture Milena Vicenová. The same solution was suggested also on Friday within negotiation with farmers by the chairman of ČSSD Jiří Paroubek.

Odkolek took back expropriation of shares

Small stock-holders complicated arise of the largest bakery group. Odkolek owners resolved to a unique step. The first big company has cancelled its plan to expropriate small stock-holders. The resolution was given by the firm Ramill, which controls the absolute majority of shares of bakeries Odkolek, at Friday’s extraordinary general meeting. Reason? According to information of HN the firm needs to finish the fusion of Odkolek with Delta Pekárny by the year end. Meanwhile it has been obstructed with legal proceedings of small stock-holders for conditions of “displacement”. Owing to the complaints the firm could not register essential changes in the Companies Register. “I can confirm a change of decision. However, we do not want to comment the reasons which led us to it”, said Jaroslav Pomp, the spokesman of Ramill.
