Commission publishes receivers of subventions from centralized European Funds and public commissions

The European Commission came to next step in frame of bigger transparency in allotment of subsidies from European funds. It created a new web page on which references to its particular general managements can be found. They allot the subventions and altogether published their receivers. The Commission's initiative is limited only to centralized European programs.

State will offer fishermen more than four billion

More than 4,5 billion crowns will run into Czech pond fish culture in next six years. The program is prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and its main aim is to deprive the ponds of mud and to improve their technical state including dams. Cleared and repaired water reservoirs should keep then much more water than now. “It is dealt with a part of preventive measures which should prevent sometimes quite tragic consequences of floods”, Pavel Punčochář, the deputy minister of agriculture said yesterday. He informed on the new project at the Day of Czech production fishery the host of which was the School fishery Protivín. However, it would strengthen indirectly fish breeding because more fish could be given in cleared ponds.

EU: Meanwhile beer with warning will not be sold

The European Commission wanted to announce a strong fight against abnormal consumption of alcohol yesterday with a slogan “I am going to get drunk this evening”. The reason is clear: almost just drinking alcohol causes a quarter of deaths of men to twenty five years in the EU countries. However, in the end the campaign against excessive drinking was not realized. Plans were ambitious. Warning slogans similar to those on cigarettes should occur on bottles with beer and wine. “Every drink can damage brain of your embryo” or “Drinkers die earlier”.

State wants to moderate rules for innholders

The Association for Protection of Consumers (SOS) protests against moderation of sanitary conditions for restaurants. The ministries of industry and health want to deprive almost a half of articles from the regulation which only two years ago stiffened up conditions for restaurants and school dining halls. They concern for example building requirements, water supply, sanitary equipment and conserving of dishes. The regulation was criticized by operators of restaurants in past. According to the ministry they had to invest in by the regulation demanded adjustments about 1,5 billion crowns. In school dining halls investments move about 25 - 30 billion crowns.
