Ministers of agriculture of EU agree on support of renewable resources

The Ministress of Agriculture Milena Vicenová participated in a negotiation of the Council of Ministers of Agriculture of the European Union which ends today in Brussels and brings good news not only for farmers but also for the public generally. Ministers from new member EU states has enforced a requirement which was initiated also by the Czech Republic to support financially growing of crops for energetic purposes in all EU states regardless of a support system applied in particular countries.

If Setuza does not come to agreement with government it will be sold

An execution of Setuza can end. However, it will happen only if Setuza come to an agreement with the government on a way of settlement of almost four-milliard outstanding debt to the state. The Ministress of Agriculture Milena Vicenová reported it and added that a second possibility how the state can get its money back is a sale of the plant in form of auction. The Court in Ústí nad Labem announced the execution of Setuza fourteen days ago some time after it was approved by Mirek Topolánek's Cabinet.

Lesy CR has record economic result

The state enterprise Lesy CR has reached a positive operational economic result higher than 1,592 milliard crowns in the first three quarters of this year. Compared to the same period last year it is dealt with almost double improvement from 0,8 milliard crowns reached that time. “One of the main influences which contribute to the present results of the plant economy is indisputably higher effectiveness of ordered commissions. We started to have market behaviour and this fact showed itself immediately in this way”, a general manager of LCR František Koníček says.

Compensation takes into account competent interests of sugar beet growers

The Ministress of Agriculture Milena Vicenová wants to inform the government at its Thursday meeting on what compensation is required by the resort for sugar beet growers who will be concerned by closure of three sugar refineries of the company Eastern Sugar CR. Táňa Králová, a spokeswoman of the Ministry announced it today. Eastern Sugar CR will obtain in total 74 805 139 Euros for delivery of its quota of 102 472,8 tons in Brussels in frame of a sugar reform. An announcement which was distributed by the State Agricultural Intervention Fund in the set term, i.e. on Friday the 24th of November, to the participated sides determinates the compensation for sugar beet growers in height 27,5 percent from a restructuring support.
