“Bring a suit against the Czech Republic due to Temelín” sounds from Vienna

Austrian Parliament appealed to the government to bring an international suit against the Czech Republic. It dislikes an approval of Temelín. The government should to bring legal action in a case that Prague will not produce evidences about safety of the nuclear power station without delay which it should have done already before its approval. The president Václav Klaus designated the decision of Austrian representatives as scandalous and the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs threatened with denouncement of a safety dialogue with Austria. Austrian opponents of Temelín reacted to the Parliament’s decision by cancelling a border blockade prepared for this weekend. In their opinion pressure actions succeeded.

Forestry company breeds also cattle

During fourteen years the forestry firms Uniless has worked its way up among ten of the biggest businesses in the branch. This year it counts on half-milliard takings. The fact that it strives to keep thoroughly ecologic rules in work also helped it to win in the inquiry Firm of the year in behalf of the region Ústí. Not only formal rules - the firm received prestigious ecological certificates, but also unwritten ones. “We trained people to be maximally economical to forests. For example we use biologically degradable oils in tractors”, Libor Van˙˙ek, a director of the company explaines.

Bracken used for production of bio-fuel

In the Great Britain examinations have been realized with use of bracken for burning in form of pellets or parcels, partially for big furnaces of in households. Farmers would obtain other incomes by conversion of bracken matter from about 975 000 ha grown in the Great Britain into fuel pellets. A director of Welsh forestry counseling company Ford Cymru informed that a proper technology has already been prepared to produce pellets from forest weed – rush, matgrass, honeysuckle, clematis, heather, whortleberry, nettle, bramble-bush, raspberry, ragwort, spindle-tree, common hops and others.

Russian signed agreement on meat import from Germany

Russian requires a quality guarantee of meat products from the EU members. A similar bilateral agreement is a Russian condition for import of meat and products of animal origin from all countries of the European Union and the first country from the block which Russian closed the agreement with was Germany. The contract was signed by Russianfederal office Rosselchznadzor with German veterinary administration. Russia requires from the EU members a quality guarantee of meat products due to a decision to accept Romania and Bulgaria in the Union. These countries, according to Moscow, do not fulfill requirements of safety of foodstuffs of animal origin because reputedly they have insufficient veterinary check.
