General manager of Lesy CR rezigned
The general manager František Koníček leaves the enterprise Lesy of the Czech Republic which in recent years has faced problems concerning tenders for forest works. As a reason for his resignation he ushered an effort to calm down a situation in the enterprise. From Friday the Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič will entrust with management of LCR Jiří Holý who has been a director of the Regional Inspectorate of LCR Karlovy Vary till this time. Táňa Králová, a spokeswoman of the Ministry of Agriculture, reported that there will be announced a public selective proceedings for the position of general manager of the enterprise in following days.
Competences of Ministry for Local Development will be divided among four vice-ministers
With arrival of a fourth vice-minister a change of organizational structure of the Ministry for Local Development happens. Competences of the resort will be now in hands of four vice-ministers. The first one, Milan Potůček, will be in charge of affairs concerning legislative-legal ones and the budget. Miroslav Kalous will be responsible for European funds; Jiří Vačkář for regional policy and tourist trade; and a new vice-minister Petr Pávek will lead agendas of housing policy, land-use planning and building regulations. Antimonopoly Office stopped tenders in Lesy CR
The Antimonopoly Office published a preliminary measure by which it stopped tenders for forestry works and harvesting in the state enterprise Lesy CR. The state enterprise should have re-allocated wood-works and harvesting in its forests for billions of crowns for the year 2007. “After a preliminary revision ÚOHS started to doubt whether the submitter proceeded in commissioning in harmony with a law. Therefore a preliminary measure was issued which should secure so that the contract was not closed before a proper revision of the case”, reported a chairman of the Antimonopoly Office Martin Pecina.
ÚOHS: Meanwhile LCR can not sign contracts with winners of last year's tenders
Meanwhile the State enterprise Lesy of the Czech Republic (LCR) can not to close contracts with winners of last year's tenders for forestry works for several billions. „The Office for Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) issued several preliminary measures and frozen tender by the time that it will have decided on their legality“, said Filip Vrána from the department of external relations of the Office to ČTK. Recently the enterprise due to wind storm has allotted commissions for harvesting of fallen trees in a shortened regime, however, the verdict does not concern them.
