Deputy minister for science and research is Karel Tureček
The Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič nominated to a post of deputy minister for science and research Ing. Karel Tureček today. “My effort is to strengthen a role of science and research in the resort agriculture, therefore I have decided to establish this new position”, said Petr Gandalovič. The deputy minister Karel Tureček will be responsible also for transformation of former research institutes of the resort into research institutions opened this year.
Association criticizes Minister Říman due to limits of coal mining
Members of the civil association Kořeny (Roots) don't like expression of the Minister of Industry and Trade Martin Říman (ODS). During Tuesday visit of mining area of North-Bohemian mines (Severočeské doly-SD) admitted cancellation of territorial ecologic limits of brown coal mining in Minings Bílina in property of SD. It is a violation of government's statement of policy. The government has undertaken to maintain limits protecting North-Bohemian municipalities before progress of large-scale quarries, Jana Doležalová from the association informed ČTK today.
Warm winter saved expenditures for energy to people
This year's warm winter help reduced electricity, gas and heat consumption in record rate. The biggest decrease in consumption showed itself in January and February. For example heating stations sold by a quarter less heat at this time than in unusually cold last year's winter. Also gas consumption decreased, by ten percent. Consumption of electricity in January fell by 9,2 percent. A value of saved electric energy over January climbed up to six billion crowns. Thursdays Mladá Fronta Dnes informs about it. Takings of electric power stations, gas stations and heat stations decreased over the whole winter by ten billion crowns. On the other hand, households and firms saved his sum.
Čunek: ČSSD government has blame for delay in EU fund spending
The Minister for Local Development Jiří Čunek agrees with expression of the shadow Minister of Industry and Trade Milan Urban that the ČR has a delay in preparation for spending finances from European funds in years 2007 - 2013. However, he considers his words as a critique of Urban's own party. “A schedule of procedure of preparation of spending finances was approved by the government by its resolution on the 2nd of March, 2005 but it is blame just of the government that it has not been kept”, the minister Čunek says. Urban warned that the Czech Republic would not have to get any money at all from the EU funds due to it. ČR can obtain roughly 100 milliard crowns yearly from the EU funds in 2007-2013 for building of infrastructure, industrial revolution, development of human resources, environment protection and renewal of the countryside.Source: Agris, 02.03.2007
