Court refused spare land to restituents

Indirect restituents are unlucky. They will not get a spare land from the Land Fund. The Supreme Court decided so definitely. The Supreme Court rejected now also two appeals of men who got land in South Bohemia from restituents and asked still before end of year 2005, when the restitution stop came into force, the Land fund for spare land. In December 2005 the Constitutional Court decided that only direct restituents and their heirs will be able to ask for property also after the 1st of January 2006.

Czech bio-food market

Retail turnover with bio-foods in the Czech REpublic reached more than 700 million crowns last year which is a huge increase. It results from preliminary survey results among Czech bio producers, producers and businessmen realized by Green Marketing. Common viewpoint of non-governmental organizations to government approval of exchange law novel and novel of law on land transfer conditions which ease sale of agricultural land to foreigners

Concerning adjustment of entrepreneurial conditions in frame of the Common Agricultural Policy of EU and its prepared reform we stay before a big challenge. To strengthen competitiveness of our entrepreneurial subjects in frame of EU agriculture still is not successful. The Czech Republic does have comparable entrepreneurial conditions neither with the original countries of EU-15, nor with some new member countries, e.g. with Poland which have postponed sale of agricultural land to foreigners by the year 2013, while the Czech government in frame of a novel of the law No. 219/1995 Col., exchange law, and the law No. 95/1999 Col., on conditions of transfer of agricultural and forestry land from the state ownership to other persons passed it already on the 21 of February 2007.

Deputy-minister resigned. He engineered a title.

What all can be hidden under a vague notice that some politician decided to leave office due to family reasons? In case of Roman Schindler, now a former deputy-minister of agriculture Petr Gandalovič, it is a fact that he used a title engineer to which he wasn’t entitled. Schindler, who has been a member of ODS since 1992, got to the position of deputy-minister for forestry and water management only two moths ago. In his profile on sites of the Ministry he stated still on Friday morning (the document was not more on the web in the evening) that he had studied Czech University of Agriculture in Prague and so he can use the engineer title. With such a title he also signed several decisions which he managed to make in the function.
