Police approved setting aside the state from Setuza

The police approved a transaction in which the state lost its influence in the food-industry giant Setuza and at the same time also 50 million crowns. A contra-corruption unit just in these days postponed investigation of a complaint to a former management of the Subsidiary and Guarrantee Rural and Forestry Fund (PGRLF). It should „enrich“ the fund to the prejudice of the state by 50 million crowns and to deceive the government in sale of its share in Setuza to the company Český olej behind of which obviously a controversial entrepreneur Tomáš Pitr stood.

Gandalovič wants to fasten admixing of bio-fuels in rock-oil

According to the amendment of act on air, which the government passed on the 28. February 2007, bio-fuels will start to be admixed complusory in fuels from 1.January next year. The Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič sees many good reasons for why to spped up the admixing of one kind of bio-fuels - methylester of rape oil, so called MEŘO - in diesel oil already from this year´s 1. September.

EC gave fine to the CR for redundant reserves of agricultural products

The European Commission gave a fine to the Czech Republic for redundant reserves of agricultural products today. CR will have to pay almost 12,3 million EUR, so almost 350 million crowns. From nine member countries only Poland got higher fine. Also Slovakia has to pay about 4.6 million EUR (almost 130 million crowns). „Measures aim of which is to prevent creation of redundant reserves are a common elelment of every EU enlargement“, said the commissioner for agriculture and rural development Mariann Fischer-Boel.

Present tenders of LCR strengthen criterion of price to 100 percent

Lesy of the Czech Republic (Lesy CR) ennunciated in a standard and transparent way open and ordering proceeding for growing and timber harvesting works in forests for the second half-year 2007. As the spokesman of LCR Tomáš Vyšohlíd informed today, the proceedings will be enunciated in almost entire area of forests in the Lesy CR administration and their value is approximately 1,7 billion crowns.
