Czech emissions of greenhouse gases were slightely higher in 2006 than in 2005
The Ministry of Environment has already counted up 100 % emission of CO2 which fall in the European system of trading with emission permits (EU-ETS). Data show that Czech emissions of this the most important greenhouse gas were slightely higher in 2006 than the year before. While they were 82,5 million tons in 2005, last year it was 83,7 million tons.
Chance on growing Polish market opens for Moravian wine-growers
Moravian wine-growers start to expand on Polish market on which a space for vine export from abroad creates. While vine consumption in West-European countries have decreased for several last years, in Poland it has grown from 1,7 to 2,4 liters per head and year.The EU average is as many as 35 liters, despite the fact this increase thanks to acreage and density of population of Poland means about 20 million liters of vine, Jaroslav Moravec, the director of Wine-growers Fund, said to ČTK today. For example the firm Vinselekt Michlovský from Rakvice in Břeclav region started to export thousands of vine bottles in Poland from this year. Other firm is the company Arcibiskupské zámecké víno Kroměříž which specializes on production of mass vines.
Ban of entry in forests in National Park Šumava ends today
A ban of entry in forests in the National Park Šumava enunciated after the January hurricane Kyrill ends today. ČTK was informed on it by a spokesman of the Park Administration Radovan Holub. Nevertheless, tourists will not get to all places. Most tracks in the second zones foresters have made accessible, however, some tracks mainly near the state borders will be still closed. People will not visit for example the area of Trojmezná in Stožec region or Kalamitní svážnice. Foresters still admonish tourist to be careful. There is still a threat that other trees can fall or that people can hurt themselves with lying trunks. The most dangerous places for tourist will be marked with schedules with ban of entry by the park administrators.
Holický officially sit in head seat of Lesy
The Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič officially named Jiří Holický the head of Lesy CR. Holický has led the enterprice temporarilly already since February when František Koníček resigned. The minister believes that Holický will succeed to stabilize the firm. According to the minister Lesy are in a very difficult situation for which the last management, which has made many mistakes, is responsible. „The enterprise leads suits at the Office for the Protection of Competition, the European Union as well as at our courts due to commissions from last years. Also particular wood-processing firm threaten with actions“, the minister evaluated the state in firm.
