New subsidy should increase interest in cultivation of energetic crops

Czech growers of energetic crops can obtain a new support as many as 45 Euros per hectare. Táňa Králová, a spokeswoman of the Ministry of Agriculture reminded it today and added that till this time this subsidy has been given anly farmers from original EU member states. The subsidy fully covered by the European Union should contribute to increase in volume of biomass used for production of energy.

Budget committee refused to moderate conditions for sale of land to foreigners

Parliamentary budget committee at today´s negotiation recomended to the Parliament to refuse a proposal of amendment of exchange act which should easier conditions of sale of inland agricultural land to citizens from the EU countries. The law now continues in the second reading and the Parliament will decide on it at some of next meetings.

Inland rose vines confirmed world level

Experts as well as lovers of domestic vine have spoken about it for along time. Now the quality of rose vines comming from the Czech Republic is confirmed officially. At one of the biggest world vine shows which took place at the end of March in Italian Verona Moravian rosé from the variety Ruland Blue obtained a large golden medal.

Conference on policy of climatic change starts

Two-day international conference on protection of environment starts on Wednesday in Prague under the name Future policy of climatic changes: prospect over the year 2012. Four tens of representatives of areas of policy, trade, science and non-governmental organizations promised their participations. The program will deal at first with changes in climate in the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. On Thursday the topic will be the international and European policy in relation to climatic changes after 2012, so at time when operation of Kjoto protocol will end.
