Sandwiches Subway attack Czech Republic. 50 shops will be opened.

A new star is being born among chains of fast food in the Czech Republic. A company Subway International counts on a huge expansion. It wants to pen as many as fifty new branch shops throughout the Czech Republic. The firm would like to fulfill its plan in five years. As many as ten new restaurants could grow yearly. At present there are only three in Prague. “Already now other Subway restaurants are built in Prague”, David Biskup, a development agent for the Czech Republic, said to the daily Aktuálně.cz. “At the same time we negotiate about other two localities outside Prague”, he adds.

Vice-minister for forest and water management is Karel Trůbl

The Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič named Ing. Karel Trůbl his vice-minister for forest and water management today. Before the accession in function Karel Trůbel used to work as a director of Regional Inspectorate of the state enterprise Lesy CR in České Budějovice. “First of all I want to consolidate conditions in the state enterprise Lesy CR and in heir contract relations. I hope that it will lead to a stabilization of Czech forestry as a whole”, Karel Trůbl said.

Minister forbade channel in Elbe; officers still prepare it

Clerical machinery is not able to stop and works on things which will not be realized. The last example is a building of billion floating channel in Elbe near Přelouč. The Minister of Environment Martin Bursík stopped its building at the end of March. He refused to make an exception to the law because according to him the giant building would influenced essentially the future of twenty-six heavily or critically endangered animals and plants on unique Slavík's islands. Even the Head Office of water ways and the Ministry of Transport recognized that it is not possible to build according to plans designed for many years. However, offices continue in approval of the project.

State Lesy CR passed “eternal” contract

The government prepares privatization for most remaining state firms - however, on the contrary, it is also going to nationalize one key private company. It wants to take over a full control over the enterprise Hradecká lesní a dřevařská společnost (Hradec forestry and wood-working company). This unobtrusive firm takes control of trade with wood harvested in state forests. And the state lost hundred million crows due to it in the past.
