New forms for import of wastes will be delayed by month
At first in month the European Union will publish passed forms of amended forms needed for announcement of cross-border transportation of waste of a yellow list and an amended document which has to accompany consignments of wastes of a green list according to a new regulation of the European Community. The relevant document of European Commission should have introduced - still before the date of efficiency of the new regulation – so the 12th of July, 2007 – just these amended forms. The document was agreed by member states on the 4th June, 2007, however, regarding obligatory procedural steps in EU bodies it will be announced with a delay in the Official Bulletin of EU.
Bird flu has appeared on two other farms near Nořín
Veterinarians has found out bird flu on two other farms in three-kilometer range around No˙ín in region Ústí nad Orlicí. In this village the infection was found out in breeding of broilers at the end of June. A spokesman of the State Veterinary Administration Josef Duben said it to CTK today. According to him the affected breedings count together about 80 000 pieces of poultry.
EP wants more strict rules for additives in foods
All additives which are used in food production in the EU will have to pass a new test and get completely health unobjectionable. This procedure was recommended by the European Parliament at today’s meeting in Strasbourg. It should concern more than three hundred kinds of sweeteners, dyes, preserving agent and packaging gases, so so called “Es” how these substances are nicknamed according to number codes starting with the letter E. The proposal of EP should be discussed by member states probably in autumn. If they pass it, it could come in force next year.
SPZI found faults in Prague Delvita; it will inspect whole chain
The State Agricultural and Food Inspection (SPZI) found out severe faults during today’s inspection in the supermarket Delvita in Mazancova street in Prague. It imposed to liquidate 44,6 kilograms of meat with expired life of usability which showed changes in colour. On base of results of the investigation the SZPI decided in very details to focus on other shops of this chain, Ivo Klimeš, a spokesman of SZPI said today to CTK. CTK tries to find out a statement of the trade chain Billa which took over all 97 shops Delvita this year in July. According to him inspections will strive to found out whether it is dealt with failure of duty of workers only in Prague premise or it is dealt with a procedure of the whole chain.
