Wind power stations produce still more electricity

Wind power stations in the Czech Republic produced 49,4 gigawatt hours last year which is by 132 percent more than year before. Installed delivery of vanes doubled during last year to 44 megawatt, however, still represents only small fragment of domestic resources of electricity. It results from year report on operation which was published by the Energetic Regulation Office. Wind energy covered year consumption of electricity roughly in fourteen thousand households.

Tens of actions will be realized to promote bio-foods in September

September will be already this year for the first time a month of bio-foods and ecological agriculture. Interested persons will be offered tens of actions, from open days on eco-farms, bio fairs and harvest-homes, to tastings in bio-shops. Tom Václavík, a coordinator of the month of bio-foods, said it to CTK. Aim of this project is to inform public on principles of eco-farming and to support interest in its products.

Harvest will be higher, however, pastry will not be cheaper

Harvest of cereals is high and first estimations overcomes a recent statement of farmers that the harvest will be worse than last year. Vice versa. The harvest of cereals is higher by six percent; it is supposed 6,1 million tons of grain. Rape went even better. Also significantly more potatoes is expected, also hop-growers are satisfied. Nevertheless, the higher production will not reflect itself automatically in decrease in foods prices. Today the price of rolls or cheese is not set mainly on fields and stables but in negotiation among food producers and businessmen. So, price of pastry will likely further increase.

Ministry of Agriculture subsidizes debtors

Billion crowns of doping supports aiming every year at Czech farmers can end in plants which are in failure, bankruptcy, do not pay social insurance or payments of their credits - so at debtors. A former duty to document at least by a statutory declaration that an applicant has no outstanding debts towards the state and resort institutions after a term of expiration dropped out from conditions of most applications for subsidies.
