Domestic meat production in second quarter again decreased

Total meat production in the second quarter decreased year-on-year by 1,5 percent to 156 026 tons. On the contrary purchase of milk increased year-on-year by 1,7 percent to 615,7 million liters. From total meat production 54,4 percent was pig meat and 33 percent poultry meat. A fall of total meat production is continuous for ten last years. Numbers of slaughtered cattle including calves fell year-on-year by 2,6 percent; its average slaughter weight increased by 2,5 percent to 296 kilograms. Production of beef meat decreased year-on-year by 0,2 percent. Numbers of slaughtered pigs also decreased year-on-year by 0,1 percent. On the contrary an average slaughter weight of pigs increased by 0,5 percent to 87,5 kg and production of pig meat increased year on year by 0,4 percent. Production of poultry meat decreased year-on-year by 4,8 percent.

To ask for support it is need attitude of inspection

One of conditions for submitting of application in frame of the Operational Program Environment is an attitude of the Czech Inspection of Environment. An attitude of the Czech Inspection of Environment is required for selected projects in axes 1, 2, 3 and 4, for an application for support of investment action and for a final evaluation of action. Concretely for all projects in the axe 1.1. - Improvement of water-management infrastructrure, a support area 1.1. Reduction of water pollution, and for selected projects in the axe 2 - Improvement of air quality and reduction of emissions, in the axe 3 - Sustainable use of energy resources and in the axe 4.1 - Improvement of the quality of treatment with wastes. Details will be published in a guide for users which will be set out by SFŽP as well as on web page www.cizp.cz.

Czech Republic should use more nuclear energy

According to a study by expert group a pace of building of new resources of electric energy in the Czech Republic does not correspond to consumption growth. A lack of energetic capacities can threat already in 2015. According to prognosis, a consumption of electricity despite a high support of projects for CR savings will further grows, the same as in other EU countries. Experts see higher use of nuclear energy as an optimal possibility to avoid problems.

Fish in stream were killed by detergent

Human carelessness or purposeful emission of huge amount of detergent in sewerage system is a cause of Sunday death of fish in the stream Nivnička in Suchá Loze in the region Uherský Brod. The ecological disaster was noticed first by a group of children. “They came running telling that there is thirty centimeters high layer of white steam on the stream and everywhere fish float belly up”, a mayor of Suchá Loze Petr Gazdík reported. Firemen set off to the place to dam the stream and prevent further spread of the chemicals down stream. Fishermen from a Moravian fishing union picked about seventy five kilograms of dead fish at the place.
