Production of bio-fuels in plants of SETUZA in Ústí starts in full swing

A new technology for production of methyl ester of rape oil (MEŘO) in the company SETUZA in Ústí starts in full swing of annual hundred thousand capacity in these days. A spokeswoman of Setuza, Marie Logrová, reminded and added that the firm started a test operation on the 16th of May on base of agreement of the Municipal Authorities of Ústí nad Labem. To its termination it has to prove not only technological parameters of production but also given ecological parameters as emissions or noise. A minimal loading is given by an installment of burner of smells when solid parts of air do not burden air at all.

UNO: Maintenance of emissions at present level would cost 150 billion Euros

Maintenance of emissions of greenhouse gasses at present level would require to invest at least 150 billion Euros (about 4,15 trillion CZK) in the world by the year 2030. It results from an expert report of UNO published today in Vienna in frame of conference on climatic changes organized by the world organization. The meeting is one of part of General conference of UNO on climatic changes (UNFCCC). About thousand of experts of statutory and private institutions negotiate by Friday in Austrian capital on engagement which countries of the world should accept against climatic changes after 2012 when validity of agreements from Kjoto terminates. They should prepare data for December meeting of ministers of environment in Bali in Indonesia where discussions on continuation of Kjoto protocol should be opened.

Hypernova will change into Albert

A retail company Ahold Czech Republic will change its 56 hypermarkets Hypernova into shops with mark Albert under which Ahold now operates its supermarkets in the Czech Republic. A general director of the firm Johan Boeijenga said it today. Thanks to that Ahold should operates about 300 shops Alber next year. Area of supermarkets will move from 200 m2 in small shops to 5000 m2 in hypermarkets. Ahold does not plan to close any shop and it also does not want to decrease a number of its workers.

Ticks infected most people in ten years

Holidays has not ended yet and hygienists report record numbers of people infected by ticks. Dangerous encephalitis affected 174 people, 1405 patients sickened of borreliosis. In both cases it is dealt with the highest number of the ill in last ten years. Just end of summer is a period when ticks are most active. “Warm weather and enough of rainfalls create the best conditions for them. Also mushrooms started to grow which attract people in forests who do not go there otherwise”, Čestmír Beneš from State Health Institute explained.
