EP support s adjustments on milk market in EU

The European Parliament accepted by an overwhelming majority of its votes a collection of reports which are devoted to problems of market with milk and milk products. According to EP representatives savings proposed by the Commissions in “mini parcel” of reforms of the milk market has to bring firstly profit of the sector. Also it is necessary to increase help in distribution of milk to schools. Essential adjustments of European market with milk should not endanger at the same time the present system of private storage.

Agricultural committee of EP took a vote on restructuring of sugar market

A reform of sugar-refinery in the Union does not proceed according to conception of the European Commission. Therefore it suggested a change of restructuring regime in May this year and the European Parliament deals now with its proposal. Results of restructuring are extra unsatisfactory. According to an original plan six million tons of quotas should be delivered during a four-year period. However, the reality is different. During first year about 1,5 million ton of quotas was delivered and in the second year instead of planned five million tons only seven tenths of percent.

Almost sixty million crowns will go to program LEADER CR

In total 24 applications supported by 59 859 thousand crowns from state budget were approved by the Evaluation commission of the Ministry of Agriculture CR for the program LEADER CR 2007. Originally allocated 50 millions were increased by a decision of the Minister of Agriculture from the 4th of September 2007. Newly supported “local action groups” (MAS) will obtain practical experience with selection and administration of investment projects which they will be able to pay interest on in the 4th axe of Rural Development Program. Till this time the means for realization of the strategy were spent by 36 MASs. In total there are about 154 active MASs in the republic. The program LEADER CR uses investment means from the state budget on base of the law on state budget for a relevant year. For the year 2007, 50 mil. CZK was allotted for this purpose from the state budget.

Summer is away. Mountains report first snow

The first snow has come! First snowflakes showed in the mountains afternoon, straight in a form of huge snowstorm. Snowing could be possible to see in Krkonoše at Vrbatova bouda - but not only here. White present appeared also in Šumava on Chráňov and on peaks of Jeseníky where rain mixed with snow fell.
