Bluetongue and economic losses

Two days ago by means of out pages I referred on problems of bluetongue related to an organization (or rather non-organization) of national exhibition, unfortunately, now the topic has to be mentioned again, this time in relation to economic losses connected with veterinary restriction. Probably it is not necessary to mention a fact that bluetongue approach Czech borders and that protective zones, in which limitations for displacement of animals are determined, extend significantly to the Czech Republic and cover a territory of 15 districts.

Growth of energy prices endangers competitiveness

“Further rise in prices of energies is perceived as a growing problem for entrepre neurial sector, especially in the area of light industry. We are afraid of negative impact on small and middle entrepreneurs when further rise in prices has to reflect itself in rise in prices of goods and services thereby competitiveness of Czech firms will be endangered more and more.”

Čunek has problems. He flies in Brussels to save milliards

Problems with spending billions from European funds broke a neck of the Ministress of Education Dana Kuchtová (Green Party) but not only the Ministry of Education has difficulties. Also the Ministry for Local Development has troubles. That’s why its chief and the 1st vice-prime minister Jiří Čunek (KDU-ČSL) flies in Brussels. He will participate in the fourth cohesion forum from Thursday to Saturday where he will speak on the topic New call appeal for the EU and its regions.

European Commission will sign first operation programs

Three from 24 operation programs will be signed by the European Commission presently. The European Commission informed on it the negotiation team at the Ministry for Local Development. It is dealt with operation programs Human resources and employment, Education for competitiveness, and Prague Adaptability. These programs together dispose of an amount of 3,8 billion Euros from the total 26,69 billion Euros of European Aid allotted to the Czech Republic for years 2007 – 2013. For this year there are 462 million Euros allocated from these programs, it will be possible to spend them in next three years.
