SVS founded out chloramphenicol in chickens

A present case of recognized residues of chloramphenicol in chicken meat in the region Hradec Králové is an affirmation for consumers and a warning for producers that the veterinary supervision in the CR reveals everything. A spokesman of the State Veterinary Administration of the CR (SVS) Josef Duben mentioned today. Within controls which are realized according to the Plan of Extraneous Substance Monitoring (exactly according to a Plan of regular monitoring of presence of disallowed substances, residues and substances contaminating the food chain) a content of residues of antibiotic chloramphenicol on a broiler farm in Hradec Králové region serving of which to animals is forbidden. Chloramphenicol is a medicament used in human medicine and it must not be served to animals. Also no residues of antibiotics, therefore nor of chloramphenicol, must not be contained in products of animal origin.

EU – America, agricultural lobby at conference in Prague

The 33rd meeting of representatives of an agricultural lobby of two continents took place in Prague in half of October quite unheeded by special press as well as farmers themselves. One of the main topics was farm prices. Their intense growth from world point of view was evaluated by David King, a representative of a world farmers’ organization in several views. He sees main reasons not only in lower world reserves but also in rising financial imbalance of budgets. While countries exporting rock-oil from the Middle East and China have surpluses 12 %, resp. 20 % of gross domestic products, a former drafter of the world economics, the USA manages with 6 % deficit of gross domestic products. A consequence of it is higher demand for foods from these countries.

Supplier of 40 percent of milk repudiated agreement to Madeta

Milk and Economic Cooperative Jih, a supplier of about 40 percent of raw material, repudiated an agreement to the biggest inland milk processor, Madeta in South Bohemia. Milan Teplý, a chief and owner of Madeta said it to ČTK today and added that milk producers asks higher price despite the fact they got the highest offer in the republic. The firm could lost a big part of the raw material from the end of next year which could mean reduction of staff. A vice-chairman of the coop Zdeněk Houška said to the matter of abrogation of the agreement only that “It is solved”.

Regional operation programs are in finale

The European Commission will approve all seven regional operational programs during five to seven weeks. It results from a letter of the Commissions’ representative Georgios Yannoussis addressed to Czech negotiation team at the Ministry for Local Development. Yannoussis announced that regional operational programs were adopted in internal suggestion proceeding of the Commission and that he does not expect any relevant objections which would obstruct approval of these programs by the European Union. Financial means for regional operational programs represent 17,46 percent from the total sum 26,9 billion Euro determined for the Czech Republic in period 2007 – 2013.
