Foods again raised in prose. Bread and pastry by as much as twenty percents.

Almost all foods in inland shops raised in price this week. The most, by more than 20 percent, white pastry, however, also bread, milk products, meat and beverages were more expensive. Only pastes and potatoes were slightly cheaper this week. White pastry raised in price at average by 21,9 percents; bread by 6,2; butter by more than eight percents. Chickens were by two percents more expensive than a week ago; other meat raised in price to one percent. Price of mineral waters increased by 2,2 percents; eggs almost by four percents; paprikas and tomatoes were significantly more expensive than a week ago.

Schengen will not change conditions of conservation of nature in Šumava

In the Schengen area where also the Czech Republic will soon belong, people have right to cross inside borders at any place and any time without necessity to pass through a border check. However, a convention does not change conditions of conservation of nature in protected territories. A spokesman of the Administration of NO and CKO Šumava Radovan Holub draws attention to it.

Increase of market with ecological meat

Nitrites added directly or derived from nitrates appear as a unique and irreplaceable additive in meat and meat products processing. Owing to these substances characters of meat and meat products. Hereat, it is required so that production of ecological foods reached the same characters as traditionally prepared meat products have. This way processed meats have to be marked correctly not to cause a misleading or a deception of consumer. It is necessary to monitor carefully the quality and safety of these foods and to monitor all possible changes of sensory characters.

Colonies of bees die en masse in the Czech Republic

Bee-keepers in the Czech Republic beat a retreat. This year a number of bee-colonies decreases rapidly in all regions. At many places bees have disappeared completely. “There are many places where number of bee-colonies suddenly reduces. Practically it is all over the republic”, Vladimír Lněnička from the central committee of Czech Beekeepers Union says.
