Reputedly state supports biomass insufficiently

A civil association Energy Centre České Budějovice organized a Regional forum to support an EU operational plan Biomass on the 22nd of November 2007 in Small Brewery in České Budějovice. Representatives of South Bohemia region and its municipalities, representatives of non-profit organizations and profession associations as well as representatives of medias participated in the forum.

CR invests billions for sale of emission credits into energy savings

Billions which the Czech Republic will gain in sale of redundant emission permits the country will invest in a support of renewable resources of energy and savings. A regular report of the European Commission confirmed today that the Czech Republic belongs to countries which will not have problems to fulfill Kjoto engagement to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. It promised to decrease emissions by eight percent in comparison with the year 1990; now the difference is about 26 percents.

Representatives supported novel against tax avoidance in bi-ofuels

The Chamber of Deputies supported today in the first reading a government amendment of act on consumption tax which should reduce a risk of tax avoidances in production of bio-fuels. The Minister of Finances Miroslav Kalousek said today to the representatives that the main sense of the novel is to enable trouble-free admixing of bio-spirit and to minimize tax avoidances. The Ministry of Finances has already before stated that in production and distribution of bio-fuels tax avoidance can arise, and therefore it recommended changing many rules. Now the novel will be dealt with by a budget and control committee of the Chamber of Deputies which has for its negotiation 30 days.
