Australian confirmed ratification of Kjótó protocol

Australian delegation brought a positive report at a conference UNO on conservation of climate. It confirmed that the new Australian government of Premier Kevin Rudd ratifies Kjótó protocol. A spokesman of the Ministry of Environment CR (MŽP) Jakub Kašpar informed on it today. Till this time Australia together with the USA, as the only two industrial developed countries were refusing the Kjótó agreement.

Retail chains have ten-multiplied turnover since creation of the CR

Trade chains 15 years after a creation of the Czech Republic definitively gained control of the domestic retail market. Takings of the most businessmen since 1993 have raised more then ten times and also a number of supermarkets, hypermarkets and discount shops, which now operates also in small towns with several thousands of inhabitants, has increased steeply in recent years. Trade chains except large supermarkets and hypermarkets started to operate also first small self-service this year in the Czech Republic.

There is again threat of bird flu?

It seems that we will have to count again on a risk of avian influenza. Josef Duben, a spokesman of the State Veterinary Administration CR (SVS) warns against it. According to SVS this infection appeared in last days in Poland and Romania, however, in the CR not yet meanwhile. “That's why it is essential to remind breeders of necessity to pay attention to health state of raised poultry and to announce every suspicious change of health state to locally-relevant regional veterinary administrations; it means every decrease of egg yield, higher mortality or decreased food intake”, the spokesman said.

Europe will support enterprise in the Czech Republic with billion for the present

“The European Commission approved the Operational Program Enterprise and Innovation. Still this year the resort of industry and trade will spend almost billion crowns from the new operational program for various projects”, the Minister of Industry and Trade Martin Říman said today. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has published since March this year 6 calls appeal for endowments and 3 calls appeal for credit and guarantee programs. In frame of these calls now more than thousand of complete applications for endowments are registered aimed in all announced programs.
