Lesy ČR do business wrong

The state forests will show out a gain over the last year in height of only about 630 million crowns. It is a better number than four hundred million which was quoted by the present general director Jiří Novák at the beginning of January as a plan, however, despite the fact it is dealt with the lowest gross profit per cubic meter of wood in the Czech Republic. With a harvest of almost nine million cubic meters Lesy of the CR (LČR) obtained only seventy three crowns per cubic meter. Vojenské lesy a statky (VLS; Military forests and estates) other big state owner of forests coming under the Ministry of Defense has much better results. “VLS will create a gross profit over the year 2007 before creation of reserves in height of about 370 million crowns which corresponds to a gross profit of c. 266 crowns per cubic meter of harvest”, an economic manager of the firm Zdeneěk Mocek said to LN.

MZe specified costs for building of sewage plants and canalization

Actualization of an instruction for financing strategy concerning town waste-water purification was approved by the government at its Monday meeting. Annually, according to the actual state the strategy adjusts building of canalizations and sewage plants so that a deadline 31.12.2010 set by the European Commission's instruction was met. From this date all municipalities exceeding two thousand of inhabitants have to have secured adequately purification of waste waters. The total sum of means for meeting of all requirements of the instruction will reach 49 billion crowns.

Breweries Zubr, Holba and Litovel increase production

A group of Moravian breweries Zubr, Holba and Litovel evaluate last year as successful. It succeeded to sell 937 thousand hectoliters of beer in total which in a year-on-year comparison represents an increase by 25 thousand hl. The group owns five-percent share of domestic market as well as these trademarks acquit themselves well abroad where they exports roughly 10 percents of the total production. Also neighbouring Slovakia and European countries belong to traditional export countries. Moravian wines have also their remote outlets in countries of South Africa. Trademarks Zubr, Holba and Litovel enjoy the highest preferences in Moravia, so in the domestic region.

Farmers in region Ústí harvested by three percent more from hectare

Cereals were grown on more than 150 000 hectares last year in the region Ústí which was roughly a fifteenth of their acreage in the Czech Republic. More than half of the acreage of cereals in the region Ústí was sown by perennial wheat; with more than 28 000 hectares spring barley followed, and the third place took rape with 16 600 hectares. A yields of perennial wheat was, according to the Czech Statistic Office, 2,23 tons per hectare in 2007 in the region Ústí while a year ago it was only 4,8 tons per hectare. Owing to drought and bad emergence yield of spring barley was only 3,46 tons per hectare which is by 11 percents less than a year before.
