80 percent of petty electro-waste ends on dumps in CR
In the Czech Republic 80 percents of petty electro-waste end at dumping places or in incinerator plants. In the EU it is only about a half. David Beneš, an executive director of the firm REMA System which deals with its recycling, said it to journalists today. A small apparatus get in containers for mixed waste therefore the Czechs don't carry them at collecting places. According to Beneš a volume of electro-waste grows three-times faster than a volume of municipal waste. Only in the last year about 200 000 tons of electric appliances were introduced to the Czech market.
Parliament again for contact den hunt, it defeated Senate
Hunting dogs will obviously be able to come in contact with hunt game in training. At present a fox in training den is separated with a grill from a dog, however, representatives defeated the Senate today and already for the second time supported a provision which removes this grill in fact. The copy will now be judged by the president. Representatives supported the mentioned matter in frame of approval of an amendment of act on protection of animals against torture. They did it for the first time last year in December, however, the Senate returned the novel to tem in January because it was against the contact den hunt. The Parliament defended it today and confirmed its original version.
Top players of retail don't prosper much
Minus 2,84 billion - that is a loss which five the biggest players on retail market scored up in the last accounting year in the Czech Republic. Although chains in the Czech Republic take pride in takings of tens of billion, their balance at the year end is not often so favourable. A loss record holders is unambiguously the company Ahold. In last published income statement it has a loss 1,192 billion crowns and moreover an outstanding loss from last years almost three billions. “A concrete numbers of our economic results are not commented. Our net takings over the third quarter in 2007 in the Czech and Slovak Republics increased by thirteen percents to 355 million Euro”, Libor Kytýr from a press department of the company Ahold said.
Proposal of statutory order on providing of national supplementary payments (Top-up)
A statutory order which will set conditions for providing of Top-up this year and which will bring a necessary change passes by a suggestion procedure now. The operation of statutory order is proposed from the 1st of April 2008 with regard to the deadline of reception of applications (till 15th of May for the year 2008) and regarding to the supposed time course of the legislative process.
