Logo KLASA supports salability of goods

Present impact of campaign for support of foods marked with a logo KLASA is positive. Vilém Fr˙ek, a spokesman of the State Agricultural Intervention Fund (SZIF), who administers the mark, stated it on base of results of researches among producers KLASA. Almost three quarters of holders of the mark KLASA declare, according to him, that the logo of the mark KLASA has a positive influence on sale of in such way marked products. Over 40 percents of respondents wrote that thanks to the assessment KLASA sales of their products increased by 10 percents. Also for this reason 87 percents of holders of the mark KLASA considers the campaign as successful. They regard highly especially TV advertisement, sales promotion as well as billboards.

Farmers are checked not only by SZIF

Regarding the fact that the State Agricultural Intervention Fund (SZIF) will pay annually billions crowns from agricultural subsidies, it has also a duty to carry out relevant checks. However, as a spokesman of SZIF Vilém Fr˙ek warns, SZIF is not the only inspectional institution to which farmers have to enable access on a piece of land or to put forward documents on regular fulfillment of all conditions and regulations.

Minister Bursík cancelled his participation at weekend World Cup in Liberec

The Minister of Environment Martin Bursík cancelled his participation in the Word Cup in skiing in Liberec today. “Organizers decided to solve a lack of snow in Vesec at cost of breach of the law on conservation of nature and landscape and bastardization of the nature in Jizerské mountains. I can not agree with it in principle. I have been looking forward to see by my own eyeball an achievement of Lukáš Bauer and other sportsmen of the world top. I will not see”, Martin Bursík explained his step.

Last year’s production of honey 8467 tons was the second highest since 1993

Domestic production of honey decreased last year year-on-year by 600 tons to 8467 tons, nevertheless, it is the second highest since the rise of CR. A yearly yield in CR moves at average about 7000 tons. The year 2007 was not bad for bee-keepers, however, it did not come up to the favourable and warm foregoing year. Bee-keepers winterized about 520 000 colonies of bees last year; by 5000 less than in the foregoing year. A perspective for this year is not so optimistic for bee-keepers. In consequence of bad weather the number of colonies of be will decreased by about a half; in some areas losses will be even hundred percent. The worst situation will be probably in some areas of the Central-Bohemia region – surroundings of P˙íbram, Benešov and Beroun.
