Correct version of Rules for applicants in frame of Rural Development Program

The Ministry of Agriculture draws attention to a slip of the press in some Rules for applicants in frame of the Rural Development Program. The mistake happened in adjustments of the Rules in a printing-works. By reason of unification with the version of Rules which was approved and signed by the Minister of Agriculture we publish a Methodology of Financial Health which corrects the mistake.

Business relations are deformed

Brewery Bernard in Humpolec increased again production and takings last year

Family brewery Bernard in Humpolec increased production and takings last year. It brewed over 156 000 hectoliters of beer which is in year-on-year comparison roughly by 13 percent more. Takings for beer compared to 2006 increased almost by 17 percent to 251 million crowns. In recent years the brewery's production has increased regularly. It is thanks to introduction of production of non-alcoholic beer as well as investment in development of the plant, in marketing and promotion, a co-owner of the brewery Stanislav Bernard said to CTK today.

Bees die on a mass scale

A part of Czech bee-keepers face a problem which will have obviously a significant impact on a whole country. Their bees are dying out. The reason is a mite Varrea destructor and its outbreak already in last warm winter. There is a defence against this parasite but some bee-keepers underestimated the situation and did not start a treatment. A result is that ill bees transmitted the mites also in healthy colonies and they have now a problem to survive this winter.
